It has been nearly 6 months since XO Communications launched its subsidiary, Concentric Cloud Solutions and I am proud of our accomplishments over this short time. We have been recognized throughout the industry as a product innovator and thought leader.
After years of discovery and debate, businesses around the world are committing in larger numbers to the cloud. Frost & Sullivan, a leading worldwide industry consultancy, projects that “the number of businesses using cloud infrastructure services will more than double in the next two years, and that cloud providers will see a 54% compounded annual growth rate through 2015”.
In a relatively short period of time, I’m proud to report that the Concentric team launched 3 lines of business and over 15 new products! In addition to the mountain of work this group of people completed, a lot of it was accomplished using the very services we offer, both from the XO suite of as well as the new Concentric services. It’s also wonderful to see this work being recognized by the analysts and media that cover our segment. Thus far we have seen only high praise about our strategy and direction.
Today, I am pleased to announce the launching of Concentric Cloud Solutions, a division of XO Communications, that will be focused on the evolution of IT infrastructures including Cloud Computing, Content Acceleration and Cloud Voice. Concentric will capitalize on the strength, experience and legacy of XO Communications while also initiating an entrepreneurial start-up approach to generate new business.
After 11 years supporting products at XO Communications, I have been given the opportunity to be the Director of Product Management at Concentric Cloud Solutions (CCS), a recently launched subsidiary of XO Communications. CCS has been formed to focus on the growing needs of businesses like yours requiring cloud solutions: Cloud Voice, Cloud Computing and Content Acceleration.
We truly live in an exciting era, don't we? Amazing technological developments are happening on a daily basis. Looking past the typically gloomy news reported by the media, technological developments are improving and enhancing our lives consistently and in so many wonderful ways - from education to defense to healthcare and beyond. The Enterprise certainly hasn't been left behind. Business productivity due largely to technology has increased significantly just over the last five years.
