Concentric’s Private Domain Registration protects your domain name and private information such as email, phone, and home/business address from unwanted and unsolicited contact by telemarketers and other perpetrators of spam. Without Private Registration anyone can use the Internet service called “Whois” to lookup your private information.

With Private Domain Registration, anyone trying to contact you through your domain name is filtered through the domain name registrar. The registrar will take steps to contact you with a prescreened message. You then control whether you respond to the message.

How Private Domain Registration Works

• Email:
  Every email is scanned for unauthorized contacts, including spam. Any mail determined to be legitimate will receive an auto response directing the sender to a Web form that can be used to submit a message to the registrant. If the submitter completes the form properly, an email will be sent with the form's contents to the domain’s administrative contact within three business days of receipt of the form contents.
• Postal Mail:
  Only postal mail sent "certified" or "signed for" will be accepted. This mail will be opened, scanned and then emailed to the registrant with 24-48 hours of receipt. The original mail will be held for 30 days before it is destroyed. During those 30 days, the recipient may request that the originals be mailed to them. All other mail will be destroyed.
• Telephone Contacts:
  The caller will hear a phone message directing them to a Web form that can be used to submit a message.
